Savannah Ballet Theatre
Currently celebrating its 21st season, Savannah Ballet Theatre (SBT) was established in 1998 under the artistic direction of Suzanne Braddy. Recognized as the premiere dance company in Southeast Georgia, SBT is best known locally for its annual production of the perennial holiday favorite, The Nutcracker. Using WWII-era Savannah as the backdrop, it is an event that has become a tradition for the community and one that honors the history and unique character of the region. SBT presents a full season of classical and contemporary dance and has staged productions of Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Peter Pan, an original adaptation based on C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Little Mermaid, Sleepy Hollow, and The Wizard of Oz
Savannah Children’s Theatre
Our mission is to inspire, educate, and entertain children and families through the experience of live theatre, both on and off the stage.
As a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization, we exist to provide children with a safe and creative environment for character development by teaching appreciation for performing arts. Thanks to our local sponsors and volunteers, we are able to fulfill our mission daily through our school field trips, after-school classes, and community theatre productions.
Savannah Repertory Theatre
Savannah Repertory Theatre is passionately dedicated to great stories…in presenting the highest quality theatrical performances to entertain and educate the diverse population of one of America’s great literary and artistic cities. SAVRep engages a diverse community, and provides insight into the human experience, while maintaining our productions to be sustainable, affordable, and professional.
As a 501 (c) 3 organization, Savannah Repertory Theatre operates as a Small Professional Theatre under an agreement with the Actors’ Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States. Depending on the available roles for any given production, Savannah Rep hires both equity and non-equity career actors locally and regionally. Using our professional actors & crew as teachers, student internships, field trip performances, and other educational programming we also inform and grow the next generation. It is our goal to help bring Savannah to the forefront of the American theatrical community in both art and education.
Savannah Shakes was founded in 2015 by Sheila Bolda and Chris Soucy on a simple premise, we wanted to produce Shakespeare. Our desire to produce Shakespeare in modern settings led to the decision of creating a working chronology from Shakespeare’s works. This idea enforces Shakespeare’s relevance to modern society while excercising our creativity.
Savannah Stage Company
MISSION: We exist to serve the southern coastal region with accessible professional theatre that encourages growth through imagination and bravery.
VISION: To become the most respectable theatre in the country and transform the contemporary theatre standard and experience.
VALUES: Accessibility: All people deserve the opportunity to experience live professional theatre. We will create theatre that is important and necessary to a wide range of underserved audiences. Making theatre accessible also means creating experiences that engage non-theatre goers into reconsidering our art form.
Action Driven Story Telling: From selection to performance, we find the heart of every story and drive our storytelling through the action of the characters. By doing so, we allow our audience to engage in the truth of the moment and the heart of the story.
Growth: Growth comes from taking risks. Growth comes from failure and from success. It comes from humility and an eagerness to better oneself. Once we cease to learn, we cease to discover and dream. Audiences are not immune, so we also encourage our audiences to learn, to take risks and use their imagination. A collective fervor to stretch beyond our comfort zone will only deepen our experiences.
Imagination and Bravery: Our imagination is a huge part of our artistic and administrative processes as well as the theatre going experience. Bravery is the nerve to put those dreams and ideas into action either onstage or in the office. Without the duality of these values, we believe the experience is diminished.

Odd Lot Improv
The Odd Lot started way back in 2008 with an improvised performance of “A Christmas Carol.” The idea of improvising classic literature appealed to us, and we soon became the Literary Improv League, an Improv group that improvised the basic plot of classic literature. We had a few performances, and wanted to do more. Then the space we were working in changed hands, and became Muse Arts Warehouse. We were given the wonderful opportunity to work at the Muse space once a week! We were very excited about the opportunity, but not so much about the idea of doing a book a week. That is a lot of reading. So, we rebooted, and became the Odd Lot Comedy Troupe. Now we do a complete improvisational show every week, fueled by audience suggestions. So far, the response has been all positive, and we are growing quickly.
Front Porch Improv
Front Porch Improv puts on stellar improv comedy shows in Savannah, GA with a cast of talented performers. We teach business workshops, comedy classes, perform private shows, and proudly produce Savannah Comedy Fest and Savannah for Morons, The Trolley Tour.
Created by four former New Yorkers living in Savannah, we have performed around the country (Chicago Improv Festival, New York SketchFest, and the DC Comedy Festival to name a few). Our crew has grown to include graduates of the Upright Citizens Brigade (NYC), People’s Improv Theatre (NYC), iO (Chicago), The Groundlings (LA), and Theatre 99 (Charleston)–plus some exceedingly attractive homegrown talent.
