Using our professional actors & crew as teachers, student internships, field trip performances, and other educational programming we also inform and grow the next generation. It is our goal to help bring Savannah to the forefront of the American theatrical community in both art and education.
Founded in 2015 by Sheila Lynne Bolda and Christopher Soucy, Savannah Shakes’ goal has always been to create text-focused productions that transport the Bard’s characters to new worlds. We love to explore the way four century old texts can easily shed light on the times we live in or have lived in. We take our role as Savannah’s only Shakespeare company very seriously while not taking ourselves too seriously. We are always looking for new Shakers to come and join the fun!
